Amadeus Simulator May 2026

Amadeus has been modernizing its training environment. While the classic "green screen" simulator remains the gold standard for GDS training, Amadeus is now offering a graphical overlay called Amadeus Selling Platform Connect.

However, even the graphical version has a "Command Mode" pop-up that mirrors the simulator. Why? Because power users still prefer the speed of typing. Furthermore, with the rise of NDC (New Distribution Capability), the Amadeus Simulator is being updated to simulate NDC workflows. You can now practice retrieving "Continuous Pricing" offers and selling bundles of seats + bags within the training environment.

The Amadeus Simulator successfully demonstrates a functional, low-risk training environment for GDS entry syntax and PNR management. It meets the primary goal of reducing live-system errors during initial agent training. With the recommended enhancements, the simulator can be deployed as a permanent onboarding tool for travel desk staff or aviation students.

The official product offered by Amadeus itself is the Amadeus Learning Edition. It is a cloud-based platform that provides access to a training database that mimics the live system.

The simulator allows you to practice complex fare calculations without worrying about currency conversion errors. You can use FXX to price itineraries, apply FARE notes, and simulate manual fare construction for unlisted routes.
