5 Manual - Amplitube

The official PDF manual explains what each button does, but not how to use them musically. Here is the cheat sheet.

| Knob / Switch | Official Name | What It Actually Does | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Sag (Power Supply) | Voltage Droop | More sag = looser, more “rubbery” feel (blues). Less sag = tighter, more percussive (metal). | | Z-Tron (Input Impedance) | Pickup Loading | At 1M Ohm, it’s bright and tight. At 22k Ohm, it rolls off high end (like a vintage fuzz face). | | Voice (on cabs) | Resonance Shift | Left = Vintage (papery). Right = Modern (tight, scooped). | | Bias Tremolo | Tube Modulation | Changes speed AND amplitude based on how hard you pick. | amplitube 5 manual

Without a cab, a direct amp sounds like angry bees. The official PDF manual explains what each button

You can automate almost everything. In your DAW, click the Param button on the AmpliTube 5 plugin. Select "Show All Parameters." Search for: Without a cab, a direct amp sounds like angry bees

The official manual lists parameters alphabetically, which is useless. Instead, use the MIDI Learn inside AmpliTube first, then your DAW will see those movements as automation lanes.

One of the most overlooked features in the manual is the Mixer Section (often hidden at the bottom of the window). This is essential for recording.
