To get vintage software running smoothly on a modern OS, additional tweaks are necessary.
Is it worth it? Yes—if you have the dongle. ArtCAM 9.1’s vector-to-relief engine is still faster than many modern bloatware alternatives. Just don't expect to open files made in newer versions (2012+), as the file format changed.

Installation Type:
Destination Folder: Avoid spaces or special characters. Use C:\ArtCAMPro9.1 (not Program Files, due to UAC issues).
HASP Selection: Choose "HASP USB Key (Recommended)." If you have a parallel port key, select the appropriate option.
Click Install.
The installation copies ~800 MB of files, including:
Version 9.1 does not natively support .stl import/export well (it uses .art and .3mf). Install a plugin:
