Ashley The Pirate Guide Better

Combat guides always say: "Stay on the deck." This is where Ashley dies the most. To drastically improve your survival rate, you must go vertical.

Ashley has a unique grappling hook cooldown (45 seconds) that no other character has. A bad guide says "Use it to board enemy ships." A better guide says: "Use it to reach the enemy’s Crow’s Nest."

From the Crow’s Nest:

By simply changing your elevation, your kill/death ratio triples. If your current "Ashley the Pirate" guide doesn't mention the Crow’s Nest, discard it immediately.

To truly make your Ashley the Pirate guide better, you need to customize your build based on the enemy team. Do not use the recommended starter build forever. ashley the pirate guide better

| Mistake | Consequence | Better Alternative | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Using Hook Shot to travel faster | No escape tool for 12 seconds | Walk; save Hook for reactive dodging | | Ultimating a full-health tank | Wastes massive CC potential | Ult the healer or ADC behind the tank | | Ignoring the Parrot passive | Blind to ganks; gets flanked | Check passive every 5 seconds | | Fighting in open water (mid-lane) | Easy target for ranged attacks | Fight in tight corridors (ship alleyways) | Combat guides always say: "Stay on the deck

The biggest mistake new captains make is trying to turn their ship into a tank. In Ashley the Pirate, speed is the ultimate weapon.
