Accuracy

Mark-10 defines accuracy as a percentage of full scale of the instrument. To determine the measurement error as an actual load value, multiply the accuracy percentage by the instrument’s capacity.

Example 1 – M5-50 force gauge:

The accuracy is ±0.1% of full scale (FS). Multiply ±0.1% by 50 lbF, which equals ±0.05 lbF. This means that any displayed reading may be higher or lower by up to 0.05 lbF. For example, if the displayed value is 30.00 lbF, the true reading will be ≥29.95 lbF and ≤30.05 lbF.

Example 2 – Plug & Test® indicators and sensors:

The accuracies of the sensor and the indicator must be added together. Models 7i and 5i indicators have accuracy values of ±0.1% FS, while the Model 3i is rated at ±0.2% FS. Using the example of a Series R50 torque sensor with Model 3i indicator, add ±0.35% to ±0.2%, which equals ±0.55%. In a specific example for the Model MR50-12, the accuracy becomes ±0.55% x 135 Ncm = ±0.7425 Ncm.

Percentage of Reading:

Because of these fixed errors, lower measured values will be more inaccurate as a percentage of reading.

Further using the example of an M5-50 force gauge, a fixed error of ±0.05 lbF represents a higher error as a percentage of reading for a load of 1.00 lbF than 30.00 lbF.

To calculate the error as a percentage of reading, divide the fixed error by the measured value. For a 1.00 lbF load, the fixed error equals ±0.05 ÷ 1.00 lbF = ±5% of reading. For a 30.00 lbF load, the fixed error equals ±0.05 ÷ 30.00 lbF = ±0.17% of reading.

Conclusion:

Because of the relationship between load and accuracy, we recommend selecting an instrument capacity as close as possible to the maximum measured load.

Sampling Rate

Sampling rate is defined as the rate at which the instrument’s electronics communicate with its load sensor. A faster sampling rate more accurately captures the peak load which occurred during the test. This is especially apparent in applications where the load builds up and falls very quickly – such as the break testing of glass or ceramics. The graphs below illustrate the advantage of a fast sampling rate:

bangladeshi model nova scandal

The graph at left shows that an instrument with slower sampling rate may not accurately detect the true peak. In the graph at right, the faster rate accurately captures the true peak.

Sampling Rate vs. Output Rate

While Mark-10 instruments internally sample at up to 14,000 Hz, a typical streaming output rate to MESURgauge software is approximately 25 - 50 Hz. If a faster data collection rate is required, our Series 7 force gauges and indicators can collect data at up to 14,000 Hz, store the data internally, and bulk-download the data to a PC when the test is complete.

Capacity x Resolution

Capacity:

This value represents the maximum measurable load. All available capacities are listed for each available unit of measurement. All instruments measure from 0 to the indicated capacity.

Resolution:

This value represents the smallest measurable increment. For Plug & Test® sensors, the resolution depends on which indicator is used. Refer to the Capacity x Resolution tables on the particular sensor’s webpage or data sheet.

Example - M5-50 Force Gauge:

Pound-force Capacity x Resolution for the M5-50 force gauge is 50 x 0.01 lbF. This means that the gauge measures from 0 to 50 lbF, with increment size of 0.01 lbF, i.e., 0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03…50.00.

Nova Scandal - Bangladeshi Model

The "Nova Scandal" forced two permanent changes in the Bangladeshi digital landscape:

While there have been several recent high-profile incidents involving Bangladeshi models and actresses, no widespread confirmed "scandal" specifically under the name Nova has surfaced in current news. It is common for celebrities to face rumors or be confused with others in similar news cycles.

Below are the most significant recent cases involving Bangladeshi figures in the entertainment industry: Recent High-Profile Cases Shanta Paul Arrest (July 2025): Bangladeshi model and actress Shanta Paul

was arrested in Kolkata, India. She was accused of possessing fake Indian identity documents, including Aadhaar and voter ID cards, while staying in India without a valid visa. Investigations suggested she used these documents to pose as an Indian citizen and run a car rental business. Meher Afroz Shaon Detention (February 2025): Prominent actress and singer Meher Afroz Shaon

was detained on charges of conspiring against the state. Her detention came amid political unrest and was reportedly linked to her critical remarks about the interim government on social media. Sohana Saba Arrest (February 2025): Similarly, actress Sohana Saba

was reportedly arrested on charges of sedition and conspiracy after raising concerns about national violence. Clarification on "Nova" The name Nova (often referring to actress Nova Firoz

) is most notably linked to a high-profile, but amicable, divorce in 2017. Marriage & Divorce: Nova Firoz was married to TV director Raihan Khan in 2011.

The Decision: They officially divorced in 2017 due to "lack of responsibility" and financial strains, though Nova emphasized it was a mutual and private decision to protect their son’s well-being. Dealing with Online Rumors

In many instances, Bangladeshi stars have been targets of digital misinformation: Fake Profiles: Actress Tanjin Tisha

recently warned fans about fake Facebook profiles using her likeness to extort restaurant owners.

Deepfakes: There has been a rise in AI-generated videos used for political or social misinformation within the region.

If you are seeing specific rumors online, they may be part of a broader trend of social media "scandal" culture often used to target female celebrities in the region. Always verify such claims through reputable news outlets like The Daily Star or Dhaka Tribune.

The story of a "Nova scandal" in the Bangladeshi modeling industry often refers to a viral controversy involving actress and model Nova Feroz

. In 2010, she was targeted by rumors of a leaked private video, which placed her on various controversial lists despite the identity of the person in the footage remaining unconfirmed.

More recently, the Bangladeshi modeling world has been shaken by other high-profile incidents involving different individuals: Shanta Paul Arrest (2025): In July 2025, model Shanta Paul

was arrested in Kolkata, India. She was found with multiple fake Indian identity documents, including two Aadhaar cards and a voter ID, despite being a Bangladeshi national and former airline crew member.

Social Media Confrontations: In March 2026, a Russian model filming a reel in Dhaka made headlines after a tense on-set confrontation with a man over alleged inappropriate behavior, which went viral on social media. Nova Feroz

continues her active career in the entertainment industry, her name is still occasionally linked to the older 2010 rumors in tabloid summaries.

The Complex Reality Behind the "Nova Scandal" Headlines In the fast-paced world of Bangladeshi entertainment, the name Nova Firoze (popularly known as Nova) has frequently surfaced in digital headlines, often accompanied by the sensationalist term "scandal." However, navigating these claims requires a careful distinction between unsubstantiated internet rumors, past controversies, and the actual professional trajectory of the actress. 1. Clarifying the Identity: Nova Firoze vs. Shanta Paul

In late July 2025, search traffic for "Bangladeshi model scandal" surged following the arrest of a woman in Kolkata, India. It is critical to note that the individual arrested was Shanta Paul, a Bangladeshi model and anchor, not Nova Firoze.

The Incident: Shanta Paul was detained for allegedly possessing fake Indian identity documents, including Aadhaar and voter ID cards.

The Confusion: Because Shanta Paul had also worked as an anchor and actress in Bangladesh, some early reports and social media posts vaguely referenced "Bangladeshi actresses," leading to a spillover of interest into other prominent figures like Nova. 2. Historical Context: The Video Scandal Rumors

The association of Nova's name with the word "scandal" largely stems from historical YouTube and social media "clickbait" cycles.

Past Associations: In late 2021, various "top scandals" videos circulated on platforms like YouTube, attempting to link Nova Firoze's name to alleged video leaks involving other prominent industry duos, such as the Tinni-Hillol controversy.

The Reality: Unlike several other celebrities who faced documented legal or public fallout from such incidents, there has been no verified evidence or official report confirming the existence of a "Nova scandal" video. Much of the digital footprint remains relegated to gossip-heavy media channels rather than reputable news outlets. 3. Nova Firoze’s Current Public Profile

As of May 2026, Nova Firoze continues to maintain an active and professional presence in the industry, distancing herself from past gossip through her work.

Recent Activity: She remains active on social media, sharing glimpses of her life and work with fans on Instagram. bangladeshi model nova scandal

Professional Focus: In recent years, she has been featured in interviews discussing her career longevity and the responsibilities that come with her popularity. 4. Navigating Misinformation

The "Nova scandal" keyword often triggers results related to unrelated political tensions or arrests of other actresses in Bangladesh. For instance:

In early 2025, actresses like Sohana Saba and Meher Afroz Shaon were reportedly detained or questioned amidst rising political tensions in the country.

Users searching for general "actress scandals" may frequently see Nova’s name suggested by algorithms due to her high search volume, even when she is not involved in current legal issues. Summary of Key Facts Primary Subject Nova Firoze (Actress/Model) Status of "Scandal"

Nova Scandal Report: A Case of Misinformation and Controversy Surrounding a Bangladeshi Model

Introduction

The Nova scandal, which gained significant attention in Bangladesh and beyond, revolves around allegations and controversies involving a Bangladeshi model named Nova. The case is a complex mix of misinformation, legal issues, and public scrutiny, highlighting the challenges faced by public figures in the digital age.

Background on Nova

Nova, whose real name is not widely known, is a Bangladeshi model who gained popularity through her social media presence and modeling career. Like many models, she leveraged platforms such as Instagram and Facebook to build a following and engage with her audience.

The Scandal

The Nova scandal began to unfold when allegations surfaced on social media regarding her personal life and professional conduct. These allegations included claims of fraud, blackmail, and involvement in illicit activities. The exact nature of these allegations varied, with some sources suggesting financial impropriety and others implying involvement in criminal activities.

Public Reaction and Media Coverage

The scandal quickly gained traction on social media, with many users expressing shock, disappointment, and outrage. The media in Bangladesh and international outlets picked up the story, providing varying degrees of coverage. Some reports were factual and investigative, while others sensationalized the allegations.

Legal Repercussions and Actions

Following the public outcry, legal actions were considered and taken. Nova filed a lawsuit against individuals and entities she claimed were behind the defamation and harassment. The legal proceedings aimed to address the spread of misinformation and to protect her rights.

Impact on Nova's Career and Personal Life

The scandal had a significant impact on Nova's modeling career and personal life. She faced professional backlash, with some clients and brands distancing themselves from her. The personal toll of the public scrutiny and legal battles also became a subject of discussion, highlighting the mental health challenges faced by individuals under similar circumstances.

Misinformation and Social Media's Role

A critical aspect of the Nova scandal was the role of social media in spreading misinformation. The rapid dissemination of unverified allegations against her underscored the challenges of regulating online content and the need for media literacy among users.

Conclusion

The Nova scandal serves as a case study on the vulnerabilities of public figures in the digital age. It highlights the importance of verifying information before sharing it and the potential consequences of misinformation. For Nova, navigating the legal and public relations fallout has been a significant challenge, reflecting broader issues faced by individuals in the public eye.

Title:
Digital Vigilantism and Reputation Warfare: A Case Study of the ‘Nova’ Scandal in Bangladesh’s Social Media Landscape

Abstract:
This paper examines an alleged online scandal involving a Bangladeshi model known as ‘Nova,’ tracing how unverified content spread across Facebook, TikTok, and WhatsApp. It analyzes the role of moral policing, gender-based harassment, and the absence of cyber law enforcement in Bangladesh. The study finds that such incidents often result in extortion, doxxing, and mental health crises, with little legal recourse for victims.

Searching for details on a "scandal" involving Bangladeshi actress and model Nova Firoz

Six months after the scandal's peak, the real Nova has vanished.

Her Instagram account is deleted. Her Facebook page, once verified, now shows a grey user icon. According to a follow-up report by The Business Standard, Nova moved to a shelter run by the Bangladesh National Women's Lawyers' Association (BNWLA). She has refused all interview requests.

Her alleged perpetrator—the photographer—remains free, citing "lack of digital evidence" as the SD card used was never found.

The brands that dropped her have quietly hired new, younger models. The scandal is no longer news; it is a cautionary fable told to mothers to warn their daughters against the "seduction of the camera."

A dark undercurrent of the scandal was the contempt reserved specifically for models.

In Bangladesh, "model" is a loaded term. Unlike doctors or engineers, modeling is viewed as a morally ambiguous profession. During the scandal's peak, a popular Bangladeshi talk show host asked a guest, "If you don't want people to see your private life, why did you become a model in the first place?"

This logic—equating professional modeling (clothed, commercial work) with consent for private violations—reveals a deep patriarchal bias. Nova was not the first victim. In 2021, a popular OTT platform actress faced a similar leak. In 2022, a university student who did part-time modeling for a cosmetics brand was burned alive in a fatwa attack after a fake video circulated.

Nova’s case was different only in scale. It went viral because she was the perfect archetype: beautiful, ambitious, and unprotected.

The consequences were immediate and brutal.

This dual arrest—punishing the victim while sparing the perpetrator—turned Nova into a reluctant symbol of the #MeToo movement in Bangladesh.

On a Thursday night in April 2024, a 14-minute video surfaced on a private Telegram group known for sharing pirated Bangladeshi web series. The video allegedly featured a woman resembling Nova in a non-public, compromising setting. The video lacked context—no timestamps, no secondary verification. Within hours, screenshots were stripped from the video and turned into memes. The "Nova Scandal" forced two permanent changes in

By Friday morning, the hashtags #NovaScandal and #BangladeshiModelNova were trending on X (formerly Twitter) in Bangladesh. Local news portals, desperate for clicks, ran the story with thumbnails of her legitimate modeling photos, blurring the lines between her professional portfolio and the leaked content.

The "scandal," however, had three distinct layers that the media initially failed to separate:

Select the AC1066-1 to simulate a soft joint with gradual torque buildup, or AC1066-2 to simulate a hard joint with faster torque buildup. Either fixture is suitable for the full range of torque up to 100 lbFin (11.5 Nm).

Examples of hard and soft joints are provided below:
