Before launching the game, right-click Isaac in Steam → Properties → General → Uncheck "Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for The Binding of Isaac." If you don't, Steam will overwrite your new 100% file with the old cloud version.

If you don't want a pure Dead God file but want to skip the grind legitimately, consider installing the "Repentance Unlocker" mod from the Steam Workshop. binding of isaac repentance 100 save file

This mod doesn't give you a save file. Instead, it adds an in-game console command (unlock all) that legitimately triggers every achievement sequentially. It is safer than downloading a foreign dat file and is reversible.

Step 1: Locate your save folder. Navigate to: C:\Users\[YourUserName]\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Repentance\ Pro tip: Only look for "Dead God" files

Step 2: Back up your saves. Copy every file in that folder to your desktop. Name the folder "Isaac Backup." This is crucial.

Step 3: Disable Steam Cloud (Temporarily). Right-click The Binding of Isaac in Steam > Properties > General. Toggle "Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for The Binding of Isaac" to OFF. If you don't do this, Steam will overwrite your new 100% file with your old empty one.

Step 5: Launch and verify. Start Repentance. You should see the platinum save file icon. Enter the game and check "Stats" -> "Secrets." It should read 637/637.

Step 6: Re-enable Steam Cloud. Exit the game. Go back to Steam Properties and turn Cloud Saves back ON. When Steam asks "Which file do you want to keep?" select Local File (the new one).
