For the uninitiated, Cockham Superheroes is a sandbox-style visual novel developed by EpicLust. The game takes place in Cockham City, a melting pot of corruption, super-science, and ancient magic. You play as an aspiring hero (or anti-hero) who gains unexpected powers. Unlike mainstream comics, EpicLust’s writing leans heavily into satire, adult situations, and the logistical nightmare of saving a city while managing a chaotic love life.

1. Technical Polish (A New Benchmark) EpicLust has clearly upgraded their rendering engine. V07 features the most detailed character models yet. Sweat, fabric physics, and environmental lighting (especially in the “Hall of Justice Bedroom” set) are stunning. A night-rain scene between Nightshade and Captain Thrust is frame-worthy—raindrops refract light off latex suits with near-photorealistic quality.

2. The Opening Montage The first 8 minutes are vintage Cockham. A mock-news report on “The Great Libido Leech” (a villain who makes heroes temporarily impotent) is genuinely clever. The editing is tight, the voice acting (particularly for anchor Vex Newsome) is sharp, and it sets a stakes-raising premise: What happens when superheroes who need sexual energy to fuel their powers are suddenly drained? 3. Chemistry in Scene 2 (Nightshade & The Harder) The series’ best scene in years occurs in a dimmed safehouse. Without the crutch of slapstick or immediate penetration, the two leads discuss fear, identity, and whether their “powers” are blessings or compulsions. It’s mature, vulnerable, and—shockingly for adult content—emotionally intelligent. The subsequent sex scene feels earned, not obligatory.
