Plot in a nutshell: The Croods—a family of neurotic, fearful cave dwellers led by overprotective patriarch Grug (Nicolas Cage)—have survived for years by following one rule: “Never not be afraid.” Their entire existence flips upside down when they meet Guy (Ryan Reynolds), a creative, fire-inventing nomad who warns them that the world is ending. Together, they must evolve, embrace change, and chase the sun to find a new home.
