If the page shows no results or “Product Discontinued,” use the Legacy FTP:

Solution: The modern Linux kernel has dropped support for the digi module. You need to compile an older kernel module manually.

wget ftp://ftp1.digi.com/support/drivers/classic/linux/digi_linux_2.6.tar.gz
tar -xzf digi_linux_2.6.tar.gz
cd digi_linux_2.6
make
sudo make install

The Digi SM-110 was designed before modern cybersecurity threats became mainstream. After downloading and installing the software, consider these best practices:

If your SM-110 cannot be updated, consider replacing it with a modern Digi Connect EZ or an Edgeport device.

Digi International has discontinued many products from the SM-1xx series. Consequently, the official Digi support website no longer lists them in the active product menu. However, archived software is still accessible via Digi’s FTP servers and legacy support portals.

Digi does not host legacy software drivers on a public consumer-facing website for this specific model range. To obtain the software legally and safely, you must go through authorized channels.

Option A: Contact Your Dealer (Recommended) The most reliable method is to contact the vendor where you purchased the scale. Authorized Digi distributors have access to the "Dealer Portal" where the latest compatible firmware and utility software are hosted. They can email you the installer or provide a secure download link.

Option B: Digi Official Support Visit the official Digi (Digi International or Teraoka Seiko) website for your specific region (e.g., Digi USA, Digi Europe, Digi Asia). Navigate to the "Support" or "Downloads" section and search for "SM-110." If the model is older, you may need to submit a support ticket requesting the legacy driver.

⚠️ Caution regarding Third-Party Sites Avoid downloading "Digi SM-110 software" from generic file-hosting sites or forums. These files are often outdated, corrupted, or may contain malware. Always prioritize files sourced from the manufacturer or certified partners.

Solution: There is no solution. The SM-110 uses a proprietary ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) that Microsoft removed support for after Windows 7. You must use a hardware serial-to-USB converter or upgrade to a modern Digi CM or Digi One SP.
