Solution: USB power management. Go to Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers > USB Root Hub > Properties > Power Management → Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device.”

If you still have the disc, insert it, but do not run the “AutoRun” if you’re on Windows 10/11. Instead, open the CD folder, right-click the setup file, and go to Properties > Compatibility > Run as Windows XP (SP3). Solution: USB power management
