Because you are downloading an executable file, it is good practice to verify it hasn't been tampered with.

  • Click the Digital Signatures tab. You should see a name listed as "Google LLC" or "Google Inc".
  • Click "Details." It should say, "This digital signature is OK."

    • After downloading the .exe, perform these checks to ensure the file is authentic and uncorrupted.

    The only verified source for the installer is the official Google Chrome website.

    Do not use third-party download sites (e.g., CNET, Softonic, OldVersion). They may bundle malware or provide unsigned binaries.
