Enscape - Archicad Mac

Mac users used to rely on Archicad’s internal renderer (CineRender). CineRender is accurate but slow. Enscape uses a real-time global illumination algorithm called "ReSTIR" (borrowed from Chaos Vantage).

As of 2026, Enscape (now part of Chaos) has not announced macOS support. Chaos focuses on Windows for real-time products (Enscape, V-Ray). Apple Silicon’s growing power may change this, but no official roadmap exists.

Enscape does not offer a discount for Mac users despite missing features. Pricing is per seat, per year.

Mac-specific warning: The floating license manager (used by IT admins) is a Windows-only .exe file. If your firm manages licenses internally, your IT manager must run the license server on a Windows PC—not a Mac. There is no Apple Silicon version of the Enscape License Server.
