Square Enix may never officially patch this. But thanks to the modding community, we don't need them to.
Have you tried the ultrawide fix? Did you run into any stuttering issues? Let me know in the comments below.
Happy modding, mercenaries.
Important note: The game does not natively support ultrawide. It renders with pillarboxes (black bars on the sides). This fix removes them and fixes FOV, HUD placement, and cutscenes.
If you attempt to run this on three 1080p monitors (5760x1080), the game's physics engine begins to break. Because the render distance wasn't designed for that FOV, NPCs may "pop" in and out of existence on the outer monitors. It works, but it is a "tech demo" experience. final fantasy vii remake ultrawide fix

Mod Title: FFVII Remake Intergrade - True Ultrawide Experience (UW21:9 / UW32:9) Square Enix may never officially patch this
Short Description: Unlocks the full potential of your monitor by removing hardcoded black bars and adjusting the field of view (FOV) for 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9 (Triple Screen) resolutions. Experience Midgar without the cinematic letterboxing.
Detailed Description: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade natively supports 16:9 aspect ratios, often forcing black bars during gameplay and cinematics on ultrawide monitors. This mod injects the correct aspect ratio into the game engine, ensuring the image fills your screen correctly without stretching or distortion. Happy modding, mercenaries
