That’s a massive jump. The new airflow design creates a vortex effect inside – you can actually hear the difference. It sounds like a miniature jet turbine when fully open.
Simmer stability:
This is where the v12 shines. The previous model had a narrow “sweet spot” for low heat. The UPD adds micro-adjustment teeth on the damper dial – 12 distinct clicks from full open to closed. Wind resistance:
Without a windscreen, the SC 24 12 UPD stayed lit in 18 km/h gusts. With the optional Hibijyon windscreen (sold separately), it handled 32 km/h before flickering. Impressive for a non-integrated canister system.
