Your opponent must place their piece with grippy side down, which means it will have slick side up. That makes your next placement harder because slick-on-slick equals zero friction. Counter by choosing pieces with interlocking cutouts or using the edges.
On your turn, you will perform two mandatory actions in order:
At the end of your turn, you should have exactly 5 cards in your hand (unless a card says otherwise). If you have more, discard down to 5. If you have fewer, you do not draw extra—that’s a strategic risk.
