At each boss battle, defeating the corrupted captain restores a piece of the timeline. When they defeat the Teikoku Cyborgs, Axel Blaze (Gouenji) suddenly flickers back into existence in the real world, appearing in the dugout, confused but ready to help coach Kaito.
