The contactor that sends power from the battery to the lift pump motor can have pitted or welded contacts. A high-resistance contactor will pass enough voltage for diagnostics, but under load (lifting), the voltage collapses.

After cross-referencing Jungheinrich’s proprietary diagnostic manuals (JMG / JSM files) and field service bulletins, Error Code 4372 is defined as:

"Lift controller: Supply voltage (U-Batt) below permissible threshold during hydraulic operation – Plausibility error detected between lift motor current feedback and expected load profile."

In plain English: When the operator attempts to lift a load, the lift pump controller detects that the battery voltage drops too low too quickly. Furthermore, the current being drawn by the lift motor does not match what the computer expects based on the weight being lifted.

This is a protective code. The system shuts down the lift function to prevent deep discharge of the battery or thermal damage to the lift motor and contactors.

In the high-stakes environment of modern logistics, a stationary forklift is more than an inconvenience—it is a bottleneck. When a Jungheinrich EJE 120 electric pallet truck flashes a cryptic "Error 4372" on the display, it represents a pivotal moment for the operator and the fleet manager alike. But in the world of advanced materials handling, an error code is not just a stop sign; it is a roadmap to the solution.

A lead-acid battery older than 4 years in heavy use is suspect. Even if it passes a simple voltage test, its internal resistance may be high enough to fool the controller. Replace it.
