The IA faces ongoing legal battles over book scanning. If IA goes offline or pivots to strict gatekeeping, the Kamen Rider archive would be decentralized to torrents. kamen rider x internet archive
Netflix has Shin Kamen Rider (2023) and Kuuga. That’s cool. But Netflix is Shocker HQ: Let’s open the digital lockers
The Internet Archive is a Kamen Rider:
In the early 90s, Toei produced Kamen Rider SD: The Strange Tale of the Hurricane Monk. It is a bizarre, chibi-anime OVA featuring SD (Super Deformed) versions of Riders 1 through Black RX. Official Western release? Zero. The only known English subtitled version (created by a fan group that dissolved in 1998) exists solely as a 240p RealMedia file on the Archive. Without it, this piece of history would be functionally extinct. The Internet Archive is a Kamen Rider :
Before Kamen Rider: Memory of Heroez, there were the PS1 Kamen Rider fighting games. The Archive stores ISO files and emulator packs for Kamen Rider: The Bike Race (arcade) and Kamen Rider Agito (PS1). These are playable via browser-based emulation directly on the Archive’s page.
If Japan adopts stricter copyright enforcement (e.g., “upload penalty” laws like 2020 download illegality), IA could be pressured.
