In Level B, worksheets mix addition and subtraction on the same page. A child in "addition mode" will add even when the sign is minus. Fix: Before solving any problem, have the student circle the operation sign (+ or -) at the beginning of each row.
Hand the worksheet back to the student. Say, "Problem 8 is wrong. Try it again." The student must redo the problem. You then re-check using the answer book.
