Important Note: Lumion 6.5.1 does not support AMD GPUs as well as NVIDIA. If you are using an old Radeon card, expect OpenGL errors. This is where Lumion 6
Before Lumion had full HDRI skydomes, version 6.5.1 had the Real Skies tab. It included 20+ high-resolution, static sky images. While you couldn't rotate them dynamically, the lighting from these skies was baked beautifully into the scene. For exterior shots, you just find the right sky, align the sun, and click render. It was foolproof.
Modern Lumion versions are heavy. They need high-end RTX cards and lots of RAM. Lumion 6.5.1, however, runs smoothly on a GTX 1060. It uses rasterization (not path tracing) to give you a WYSIWYG preview. You can adjust a tree, move the sun, and see the result instantly. For client revisions, this is gold.
