Upgrade Path: v2.02 → v2.03 (Delta: 4.2 MB) m1 firmware update v2.03
v2.03 is highly recommended for M1 owners who depend on external MIDI sync or have experienced instability. For casual users or those using the M1 mainly as a preset box, it’s optional. It fixes real bugs but doesn’t add features. The update method is the main barrier – if you’re not comfortable opening the synth and swapping EPROMs, find a technician.
If you meant Mac M1 firmware (e.g., Apple Silicon firmware updates), v2.03 doesn’t exist – Apple uses different versioning.
If you meant Roland M1 drum module – that has no v2.03.
