A stick library in Pivot Animator is a collection of stick figures (also called "sticks") and poses saved as .stk files (individual figures) or grouped libraries that users can load into a project. Libraries let animators reuse characters, props, and preset poses across multiple animations, speeding workflow and keeping style consistent.
Many animators link their .piv figure files in video descriptions. Find a style you like (e.g., "Swordsman Pivot animation"), and check below the video.
Solution: Pivot Animator saves figures in a specific folder: Documents\Pivot Animator\Sticks\ on Windows. If you uninstall without backing up, you lose them. Always copy this folder before reinstalling.
Once you’ve built a solid collection, share it back to the community.
Many animators still trade “mega libraries” — some with over 500 figures.
The original Pivot forums (PivotAnimation.com) shut down years ago, but the community lives on.
Solution: The figure file is probably "Read-Only." Navigate to the Sticks folder via Windows Explorer, right-click the file, go to Properties, and uncheck "Read Only."
Solution: You likely had a segment selected (yellow highlight) instead of the entire figure. Ensure you are in Create Mode and click the root joint once to turn all joints red (meaning the whole figure is selected), then click the green plus.
