Let’s get the elephant (or Titan) in the room out of the way. Attack on Titan has redefined what "popular" means. What begins as a simple zombie-esque survival story—humans living inside giant walls to escape man-eating giants—morphs into a devastating critique of war, racism, and generational trauma.
Why you should watch it: The animation by Wit Studio and MAPPA is cinematic. The plot twists are legendary. Eren Yeager’s transformation from heroic victim to morally grey antagonist is one of the best character arcs in fiction. Manga note: The manga finished in 2021. While the art in the early chapters is rough, the final arcs are visually stunning. Read it if you want the raw, un-censored ending. quadrinhos hentai-sra-hani-3
If you think anime is all about lengthy power-ups and filler episodes, Jujutsu Kaisen will change your mind. It is modern animation at its finest. The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high schooler with superhuman agility who swallows a cursed finger to protect his friends, inadvertently becoming the host of a powerful demon.
The ultimate cat-and-mouse game. A genius high schooler finds a notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. He decides to cleanse the world of criminals, but the world’s greatest detective is hot on his heels. Genre: Romantic Comedy, School Life Why read it:

Why read it: Skip the fake drama. This manga starts with a cringey edgy boy (Ichikawa) fantasizing about murdering the popular girl (Yamada). Within 20 chapters, it transforms into the most tender, realistic portrayal of first love ever put to paper. It is funny, awkward, and heart-meltingly sweet. The anime is great, but the manga’s intimate paneling is superior.

Yes, 1,000+ episodes is daunting. But One Piece is the highest-selling manga in history for a reason. Eiichiro Oda is a god of foreshadowing. A joke from Chapter 100 becomes a plot point in Chapter 1000. The story of Monkey D. Luffy (a rubber boy who wants to be King of the Pirates) is a masterclass in world-building.
The Barrier: The Toei Animation anime has terrible pacing (sometimes adapting 1 chapter per episode). The solution: Read the manga or watch "One Pace" (a fan edit). The One Piece manga is a brisk, beautiful, chaotic read. Do not watch the raw anime from episode 500 onward unless you hate your free time.
