Creating a xenotype at the start is easy. Creating one during a playthrough is a scientific endeavor.

To create a xenotype in-game:

Warning: In-game created xenotypes replace the pawn's current germline genes. If you inject a Dirtmole with a Genie xenogerm, they become a Genie. However, their children will still inherit the original Dirtmole genes unless you change the parents' endogenes.

  • Once you have multiple xenotypes in a colony, interbreeding creates hybrids. The system selects genes from both parents, with each gene having a 50% chance to be inherited.
