Introduced in 2018 alongside Windows 10 October 2018 Update (1809), Shader Model 6.0 added several GPU programming capabilities:
It is part of DirectX 12 and requires the Direct3D 12 runtime.
Make sure your OS is up to date:
Shader Model 6.0 support requires at least Windows 10 October 2018 Update (1809).
Solution: Your GPU driver is outdated or your GPU lacks hardware support. Install the latest driver from the manufacturer.
