For the 2014-2015 production, the role of Sneeuwwitje was played by Laura Omloop, a former junior Eurovision Song Contest participant who had grown up in the public eye. Her casting was a brilliant stroke of meta-casting: Omloop, like Snow White, represented an innocent, pure-voiced ingénue transitioning into a mature performer.
