The film follows a unit of the French Marine Infantry (including elite members of the Commando Hubert and 1st RPIMa) dispatched to the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. Their objective seems straightforward: rescue a kidnapped French journalist, Elsa Casanova (played by Diane Kruger), before she is executed by the Taliban.
However, the extraction goes disastrously wrong. The team finds themselves stranded in hostile territory, out of radio contact, and forced to trek through the treacherous mountains while being hunted by relentless enemy forces. What follows is a gripping tale of survival, brotherhood, and sacrifice.
