A StartIsBack key (product key or license key) is a unique alphanumeric string required to activate the full version of StartIsBack. After a 30-day trial period, the software displays a nag screen and disables some personalization features until a valid key is entered.
Keys are version-specific. A key for StartIsBack+ on Windows 8.1 will not work for StartIsBack++ on Windows 10. Similarly, StartAllBack (the modern successor) uses entirely different keys.
