Unlike the widely available launch copies, Rev 9 discs are scarce. They were produced in the twilight months of the Wii U’s manufacturing run, likely in limited quantities.
For emulation (Cemu, Decaf):
Warning: Do not update Rev 9 via Nintendo’s official servers if you wish to preserve the on-disc balance. The update will overwrite the 1.1.4 engine with 1.1.6, permanently changing character physics even when playing offline from the disc.
Finding Rev 9 is tricky. Look at the inner ring of the disc or the back of the case (small black text).
Despite being a later revision, Rev 9 does not include DLC characters on the disc. Players must still download:
