    You cannot just use the same firmware file from 2022. Sony updated the font rendering engine subtly between firmware 3.60 and 3.74. The new standard for Vita3K requires:

  • File handling:
  • Checksums: Compute and store SHA-256 for each extracted font file; show mismatches.
  • Config integration: Automatically copy fonts to Vita3K's font directory and update config.json with paths.
  • Logging & undo: Keep a reversible log of installed files and provide an “Uninstall fonts” button.
