If you want a clean slate, always go to the official Vu+ support site. They host the latest drivers and kernel versions.

Solution: You have an original VU Solo2, but the backup was made for a VU Solo2 SE or a clone. Search specifically for "ORIGINAL ONLY" or "SOLO2 SE" backups.

Most modern images (OpenATV 6.4+, OpenViX 5.4+, OpenPLi 8.x) have a built-in Backup Manager.

When searching for a Vu+ Solo2 backup image download, you generally have three main avenues:

  • Wait: Do not turn off the box. The process takes about 2-3 minutes. The box will reboot automatically.
  • First Boot: The first boot of a backup image might take 5-10 minutes because it loads large channel lists and skins.
