While feeding in the woods, Laszlo insults a werewolf pack by calling them “dogs.” A rivalry escalates into a challenge: a “roast battle” at a dive bar. The vampires lose badly (werewolves mock Nandor’s horse, Nadja’s accent, Laszlo’s erections). Colin Robinson saves them by boring the werewolves into submission. A rabid vampire (Jenifer) escapes from the basement and terrorizes a petting zoo. Animal Control gets involved. The vampires must recapture her without revealing themselves. Guillermo uses a broom and a trash can lid. Nadja befriends a goat. Laszlo is bitten on the rear. Nandor finally hypnotizes Animal Control into forgetting everything. Premise: Three vampire roommates—Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja—and their familiar, Guillermo, live in a Staten Island mansion. A documentary crew follows their immortal (and hilariously mundane) struggles with modern life: paying property taxes, dealing with "energy vampires," hosting biweekly supernatural council meetings, and navigating roommate disagreements.

The vampires struggle with modern life. Nandor wants to conquer the New World but can’t figure out online banking. Laszlo and Nadja argue over killing a cursed hat. Colin Robinson bores a phone psychic to death. Guillermo secretly kills intruders (vampire hunters) before they become threats. The vampires accidentally invite a rival, the Baron Afanas, to visit Staten Island.

The Baron demands they conquer the entire North American East Coast. To prove loyalty, they must attend a Staten Island City Council meeting and hypnotize officials into giving them night work permits. Laszlo and Nadja seduce a councilwoman. Nandor fails hypnosis and ends up debating zoning laws. Colin Robinson drains the whole council by reading budget reports. The Baron is pleased.
