If the error persists after the container is replaced:

If the container was replaced but the error persists, the machine may require a manual reset of the counter: Xerox Fault Code 043-343

Automatically detects, logs, and guides recovery for Fault Code 043-343, indicating a mismatch between the Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) values stored for the IOT (Image Output Terminal – i.e., the print engine) and the actual hardware configuration or expected firmware defaults.

Often, this is simply a timing error that can be cleared with a full power drain. Applies to: Xerox VersaLink and WorkCentre 5700/6600 Series

Result: If the error clears, monitor the printer. If it returns immediately, proceed to Step 2.

Xerox fusers are consumable items with a limited lifespan (often 200,000 to 500,000 pages). As the unit ages, rollers degrade, bearings wear out, and lubricants dry up. When the PM (Preventive Maintenance) counter exceeds the limit, the machine may intentionally lock down with a code like 043-343 to prevent fire or print quality disasters.
