Xos V7.6.0 Update Online

For developers in the XOS ecosystem, xos v7.6.0 introduces three critical changes:

Update your build.gradle to use the new XOS SDK 7.6.0 libraries; otherwise, your app may exhibit rendering glitches in the new notification shade.

XOS (eXtensible Operating System) has built a reputation for balancing minimalist design with deep enterprise-grade functionality. Version 7.6.0 is not a revolutionary overhaul (that is slated for v8.0 later this year), but rather a mature, refined evolution.

Unlike the controversial v7.5.3 release, which suffered from memory leaks on older chipsets, xos v7.6.0 focuses on stability over flashiness. The build number (XOS-760-2405-BETA) has been in testing for nearly 90 days—the longest QA cycle in the project's history. xos v7.6.0 update

xos v7.6.0 is out — here’s what to know.

Status: Final Release Notes & Technical Review

With cyberattacks increasingly targeting network infrastructure, 7.6.0 delivers critical security patches. Notably, it disables legacy, vulnerable ciphers in SSHv2 by default and introduces stricter RADIUS Change of Authorization (CoA) handling. This prevents certain man-in-the-middle attacks where session credentials could be hijacked. For developers in the XOS ecosystem, xos v7

Furthermore, 7.6.0 enhances the Control Plane Policing (CoPP) feature, adding dedicated rate-limits for ARP and ND (Neighbor Discovery) packets. This is a direct response to rising denial-of-service attacks that flood switch CPUs. By isolating protocol handling, the update ensures that a broadcast storm on one VLAN cannot degrade management access or routing performance on the rest of the switch.

The rollout is staged. Here is the schedule:

Warning: Do not install the v7.6.0 update on rooted devices using modified recovery environments; this build explicitly checks for recovery integrity and may brick the boot partition.
