The core of the drive utilizes a stabilized Einstein-Rosen bridge (a wormhole) collapsed to the size of a pinhead. Instead of using the bridge for travel, the drive anchors one end of the bridge to a fixed point in super-space and the other to the ship’s hull.

The Mechanism: The drive does not push the ship. Instead, it subtly alters the gravitational constant ($G$) in the local vector field. By increasing $G$ in front of the vessel and decreasing it behind, the ship "falls" forward continuously, achieving high-velocity travel without the sensation of acceleration (inertial dampening is natural to the system).
