Animal Welfare is about ensuring animals are treated humanely while they are in our care. It focuses on proper housing, nutrition, and the prevention of cruelty. While important, it often still views animals as resources for human use.
Animal Rights takes a step further. It is the philosophy that animals have an inherent value separate from their usefulness to humans. It isn’t just about treating them better; it’s about recognizing they are not ours to use for food, clothing, entertainment, or experimentation. 🌱
