Zte F689 Bridge Mode Exclusive Direct
In some ZTE firmware versions, enabling “Bridge Mode Exclusive” removes all routing configurations and prevents the ONT from obtaining a management IP from the ISP — forcing all traffic to pass through to the downstream router.

Option A: The User Switch

Option B: The Hidden Super Admin
If admin is restricted, you need the "backdoor" account. This is the most common frustration with the F689
If you get in with Super Admin, the interface will look much more complex. Go to Network > WAN, and you will almost certainly have the ability to change the Mode to Bridge without restrictions.
Warning: This process will kick all devices offline. Ensure you have physical access to the ZTE F689 (hard reset button) in case of error.
