Pokemon Emerald Egglocke Rom

If you are recording this for a Nuzlocke video or stream, follow these standard Egglocke rules:

Rule #1: You Catch Nothing. If a wild Pokémon appears, you may defeat it or run. You may not catch it.

Rule #2: Egg Limit. You are limited to a specific number of Eggs per area (usually one egg per route/city). Once you take an egg for that area, you cannot take another until you reach a new area. pokemon emerald egglocke rom

Rule #3: Hatch to Battle. You cannot use the PC to withdraw a hatched Pokémon until the current egg has hatched. You must walk/bike with the egg immediately to hatch it before it can be used in a major battle.

Rule #4: The "Nuzlocke" Clause. If a Pokémon faints, it is considered dead and must be permanently released or placed in a "Graveyard" box in the PC. If you are recording this for a Nuzlocke

Rule #5: Nicknames. You must nickname every Pokémon that hatches. It creates a stronger bond (and makes their eventual death more painful).

Before we dive into the technical setup, let’s define the ruleset. A standard Nuzlocke dictates that you can only catch the first Pokémon on each route, and if it faints, it dies (boxed or released forever). Rule #5: Nicknames

An Egglocke takes this premise and shakes it up entirely:

Why Pokémon Emerald? Hoenn has a steep difficulty curve. The gap between the 3rd and 5th gyms (Wattson’s Voltorb to Norman’s Slaking) is brutal. Adding an Egglocke to Emerald forces you to adapt your strategy constantly, preventing you from relying on guaranteed powerhouses like Gardevoir or Swampert.

This is a psychological trick. If you hatch a terrible Pokémon inside a Gym, you are stuck with it. Always hatch eggs in safe zones (Pokémon Centers) so you can deposit bad hatches before proceeding into danger.
